Gachiakuta is a dark fantasy manga and anime series about a young boy named Rudo who is framed for murder and exiled from a wealthy floating city down into a massive, monster-filled wasteland known as the Pit.
The Story and Setting
- The Sphere: Rudo lives in the slums of an elevated, pristine floating city where wealthy elites throw away their unwanted waste—and societal outcasts—into the abyss below.
- The Fall: After his beloved foster father is murdered, Rudo is falsely blamed for the crime and cast off the edge of the city into the garbage-filled wasteland.
- The Cleaners: Surviving the horrific fall, Rudo joins a group of ground-dwelling fighters called Cleaners who use special weapons called “Vital Instruments” to battle dangerous mutated trash beasts.
- Revenge: Rudo vows to master his own unique abilities, climb back up to the Sphere, and take revenge on the corrupt authorities who threw him away.
